THE BOOT MADE FOR EXTREME COLD
Quebec, September 21, 2007 – Winter and the snowmobile
season are coming soon, so it is now time for you to think about your
snowmobile boots purchase. Acton presents the Race boot. This one appeared
on the market last year and it became the winter outdoor amateurs' favourite
boot.
The Canadian company Acton (a division of Chaussures
Régence inc.) works since 1928 to improve its products and to innovate in
terms of work and recreation boots. Developed in the province of Quebec for
winter lovers, the Race has been conceived to keep your feet warm throughout
temperature as cold as -103oF.
Like all Acton's Thermo boots, the Race possesses a
multilayer liner, which confers it with an excellent insulation. This liner
absorbs, insulates and evacuates humidity very quickly. Combined with a 600g
Thinsulate insulation, it will keep your feet warm during the coldest
temperatures. Moreover, the boot has a removable IGLOO-EVA insole, which
confines humidity to keep your feet dry.
Also, the natural rubber construction of the Race's shell
provides an additional insulation since natural rubber is not cold conductor.
The natural rubber is also waterproof and flexible in the cold. An other
advantage of the Race is its outsole. Also made of natural rubber, it is
adherent even in cold temperature. Finally, its upper is made of waterproof
nylon lined with insulating foam.
Acton is renowned for its Thermo boots, which have been
designed for snowmobilers. Rely on Acton boots' qualities and specific
properties.
