Warranty

What warranty do you offer on Acton boots?

Manufacturer’s warranty

Acton products are covered under a 6-month warranty, from date of purchase, against manufacturing defects, following a normal use only.

The warranty does not cover :

  • Damage caused by accident, misuse, inadequate care, negligence;
  • Normal wear and tear;
  • The natural breakdown of colors and materials used in the footwear workmanship.

**Slight variations in color and/or texture are inherent to natural leather. They are a valued characteristic of this material and therefore not considered a defect.

All claims must be made through the retailer where the product was purchased, with original proof of purchase. The retailer will apply its own policy of repair, exchange or return. 

IMPORTANT: The warranty only applies to products purchased directly from an Acton AUTHORIZED retailer or from www.actoncanada.ca. Warranty is automatically voided if product was purchased at an UNAUTHORIZED retailer including liquidation centers, flea markets, online auction websites, classified ads and any other unauthorized resellers. Therefore, a proof of purchase is mandatory with each claim.

Purchases on www.actoncanada.ca

For online product purchases through www.actoncanada.ca, the same 6-month warranty applies. 

Claims should be submitted as follows:

-       Send an e-mail to info@regence.ca

-       Your e-mail must include the following information:

·         First name

·         Last name

·         Full address

·         Phone number (daytime)

·         E-mail address

·         Product number (see inside boot label – product # begins with Axxxx-xx)

·         Product name

·         Size

·         Product picture and its defect

·         Copy of sales receipt

Once your application is processed someone will contact you. The product will either be repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion. 

Depending on the time of the year, please note that your claim may take up to 10 business days to be processed.

What is the Anti-freeze warranty from Acton?

The design, unique materials and exceptional quality of our Acton/Thermo boots make it possible for us to offer the “Acton Anti-Freeze Guarantee”.

Guarantee Terms

Should the purchaser of a pair of boots identified as ACTON THERMO suffer from cold on his/her feet while wearing these boots, CHAUSSURES RÉGENCE INC. will allow its authorized retailer to exchange the ACTON THERMO boots for another pair of boots of equal value. The Company’s or Retailer’s responsibility is limited only to the exchange of the product for a similar product and does not cover reimbursements.

Any other type of claim will be refused.
The ANTI-FREEZE GUARANTEE is valid for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase (please note that all purchases made and invoiced between May 1st and December 14th will be considered as purchases made on December 15th. That is to say that for all purchases of ACTON THERMO boots made during the above-mentioned period, the guarantee will be effective for a period of 30 days starting from December 15th). All merchandise returned must be accompanied by the sales slip, within 10 days following the exchange.
N.B.: For thermal efficiency, it is important to use quality socks made of synthetic fibers such as polypropylene. Therefore, if the boots have been worn with other socks than synthetic, or if the boots have been modified or altered, the guarantee will not be honored.

Purchasing

Can we purchase Acton products directly from your warehouse or by calling your customer service department?

Acton chose to distribute its products via specially selected well-known retailers. For that reason, we prefer not to sell our products directly to consumers. To know where you can buy Acton products in your area, consult the Store Locator section or, contact our customer service at info@regence.ca.

What are the terms of purchase on your website?

Acton allows online purchase on its website. You can review the terms of purchases here.

Are Acton products available outside Canada?

We do not have a distribution network outside Canada. However, some of our retailers have their own transactional website. We suggest you to contact them to see if there is a possibility for them to ship Acton products in your country. Consult the Store locator section to find the retailers list.

Others

Can we find Acton stores somewhere?

No, we do not have Acton stores. However, some of our retailers owns the “Acton Expert” banner. The “Acton Expert” retailers have a large variety of Acton styles. Also, they received a technical training, which gives them a particular expertise about Acton products. To find out if there is an “Acton Expert” in your area, check the Store locator section.

Why am I not able to find a specific style on your Website?

  1. It can be that the number of style you are looking for does not exist anymore.
  2. It can be that this product still exists, but was just not selected to appear on our Website.

In either situation, we suggest you to send an email at info@regence.ca. Our customer service will be happy to assist you.

Is it possible to order replacement felts and insoles?

Acton offers replacement EVA insoles and replacement felts. We suggest you to visit one of our retailers to find the component specially conceived to maximize the efficiency of your Acton boots.
